THE ANTICS of our pet animals, their comedy, their naughtiness, their cheekiness, their efforts to please, even their bravery can bring us much laughter and warmth both inside the home and out. So many ‘had to be there to see it’ moments can occur along with those times you wish you had a camera to hand!

However, discovering the full repertoire of antics belonging to the individual companions we love is not always a bed of roses. Alongside the amusement and joy can be the frustration and exasperation of equally unwanted behaviour. In some cases we can find ourselves on an immense battle ground with them, which can often lead to very unhappy situations for all concerned. Experienced and new owners alike can find themselves tumbling onto this territory.

In the majority of cases it is possible to prevent, or bring to an end, such battles that may be occurring. It is important that those of you experiencing difficulties know that you are far from alone.

Animal Behaviour

Animal behaviour and training work is a growing field and a worthwhile one to tap into if you are struggling and wish to improve upon or resolve things. None of us stop learning where our animals are concerned and theirs is an intriguing world.

It is easy to forget that when we share our homes with our pets we are actually sharing our homes with individuals who carry the instincts of wild animals. Domestication has done little to change their natural way of being, which is a big part of why we love them so much, but this also means there are never any guarantees and no freedom from the element of unpredictability.

Altogether Animals are experts in Canine behaviour and offer comprehensive consultations for a wide variety of behavioural problems. Anti-social issues, destructiveness, selective obedience, toileting disasters and excessive barking are some of the problems that are regularly dealt with by the Altogether Animals team. In common with all of their training methods, they aim to introduce the client to the canine behavioural world encouraging greater understanding.

We offer the service of private consults which will take place in your home. The 1st behaviour consults is 1 ½ hrs for information gathering and all following consults 1 hr. The number required is dependant upon the case.
The fee is adjusted depending upon particular factors such as geographical location etc. However all such changes will be discussed prior to commencing. Telephone support is available at all times throughout the course, inclusive of the price. Client Confidentiality is respected at all times.

Feline Behaviour

Many cat owners generally feel there is little to be done when faced with a cat that has a behavioural problem. Often they believe their cat’s behaviour cannot be altered and as a consequence problems can become life long or even escalate into major issues.
The Altogether Animals team are experts in Feline behaviour and will offer guidance on preventative action for minor or new problems or will guide the client through consultation and telephone support aimed at patiently resolving long standing behavioural issues.
